This painting is very special to me. I took the reference photo while I was on St.John with my family. I will never forget this moment, for it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I’d ever seen. One of those moments that I instantly knew I’d be painting! We sat at the ocean and watched as the sky changed colors numerous times while it lowered behind the clouds. At one point the sky lit up with warm colors on one side and cool colors on the other, prompting the aesthetic for this painting.
