Artist Statement

My artwork is an externalization of people, places, and scenery I’ve fallen in love with. My paintings often explore various aspects of coastal and island living which reflects heavily on my time & travels around the world. I’m self-taught and constantly refining my techniques when it comes creating. My artwork is based primarily with oils on wood panel and canvas, although I work with other art mediums such as acrylics and resin from time to time.

When I walk into the studio, the whole world melts away. I’m intentional about getting lost in my paintings, expressing every ounce of myself through each brush stroke. There’s no greater feeling than self-expression in that state of flow. I've been painting for as long as I could hold a brush, it’s one of my earliest memories in life. To put it simply, the beauty I see in the world is what I strive to bring to life on canvas.
